School plans

What your school pays, and what a sale costs.

Coursio bills you, the school owner, every month — and takes a platform fee on the courses you sell. Two different numbers, kept apart on this page and inside the product.

Loading plans

Each school carries its own plan. An academy running three schools holds three plans, one per tenant — which is also why one school's usage can never move another school's bill.

Two ledgers

The subscription and the fee are not the same money

One is Coursio charging you for software. The other is a percentage of a sale your school made to a learner. They have different actors, different cycles and different currencies, and the product never merges them into a single “revenue” number.

Price, currency and refund policy are the creator's. The platform fee is the slice Coursio takes from it.

When the next plan up costs less

Straight arithmetic on the rates above — no assumptions about your catalog, no projection of what you will sell.

A crossover needs two plans with a platform fee on the same currency in the live plan record.

Both figures ignore what a payment provider charges you, because that relationship is not settled yet — see the provider note below.

The blank on this page

No plan here claims unlimited anything

Video, storage and email allowances depend on a provider decision that has not been made. Every competitor page you have read puts a number here. We do not have one that we measured, so we do not print one.

Inside the product this reads as a live state, not a footnote: Action required until a provider is configured, Processing while an asset is being prepared, Failed with a reason when it does not work. A status check that cannot run says so instead of reporting Ready.

Compare every capability

Scroll sideways on a phone. Every row is a real surface in the product, not a marketing bullet.

Not in this table because Coursio does not do it: live classes, SIS roster sync, SCORM or xAPI import, accreditation, and any cross-school marketplace. Those are absent on every plan, at every price.

Read the ownership terms
What exactly is the platform fee charged on?

The price of a course offer sold through your school. It is not charged on your monthly plan, and it is not charged again on a refunded order.

Who is the merchant of record on a course sale?

Not decided. It depends on the launch country, and so does responsibility for sales tax or VAT. The checkout surface names the actor rather than assuming it, and this page will not tell you Coursio handles your tax.

How much video does a plan include?

Configuration required after the provider proof of concept. There is no minutes number, no storage number and no guaranteed transcode time on any plan yet, and inventing one would be the easiest way to mislead you here.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, from school billing. Moving up applies the lower fee to sales from that point on. Moving down removes the capabilities that plan does not carry — staff assignments and affiliate programmes stop working, and the surface tells you which ones before you confirm.

Does a plan cover more than one school?

No. Each school is an isolated tenant and carries its own plan, which is also what keeps one school's usage from ever appearing on another school's bill.

What happens to learners if I cancel?

Request a tenant export first — course structure, lesson content, enrollments, progress, orders, threads and certificate codes. Certificate codes keep resolving after you leave. Cancellation closes the school; it does not quietly erase the proof you already issued.

Is there an annual discount?

Not at the moment. The plans are monthly, and the page has no annual toggle because there is nothing behind it. If that changes, the price will come from the plan record like every other number here.

Where do these prices come from?

From the live plan record, read when the page loads and formatted in your currency context. If that read fails, the purchase actions are disabled rather than sending you to a checkout with a price this page invented.

Start on the plan that fits this month.

Most schools open on Growth because that is where staff roles and the 1% fee live. Launch is the right start if you are teaching alone, and Scale earns its price at about $15,000 of monthly course sales.
